Cousin Tabitha in the Savannah news

Simmering in a pewter basin sounds vey unsafe. Don’t you think you’d get a reaction between the acid and the vinegar and the pewter? Wealthier people ate off of pewter dishes. The poorer ate off wood plates and gourd bowls. I have seen an old clipping about 10 or so people dying at a barbecue. The sauce was made in a zinc bucket.
